Goumikids Before Shark Tank
Goumikids was founded in 2011 by Lili Yeo and Linsey Ebuen, shortly after Lili gave birth to her first child.
The two moms were sharing stories about motherhood and the different products they used. They found that some essential products could be made better and other working products could look better. Environmentally friendly products could often look better and work better.
The mompreneurs set out to create a line of baby clothing that looked better, worked better and was better for the planet.
In 2016, the company raised $400,000 in seed funding from Elevate Capital and another $600,000 in 2018.
By this time, company had reached over $1 million in sales.
In 2019, they pitched on Shark Tank where they accepted a deal from Kevin O’Leary.
With almost a decade in business, Goumikids has grown tremendously and has established itself as a top brand in organic baby clothing.
Goumikids’ high end brand of organic cotton footies, boots, mitts, and gowns can be found in dozens of retail stores including Walmart, target, and Buy Buy Baby.
Goumikids clothing can also be found on Amazon with nearly a thousand positive ratings throughout their line.
Reviews are overwhelmingly positive with 4.5 stars for their Goumiboots baby booties that adjust to your babies growing feet.
Although some customers have issues with the quality and find the material to be too thin, the majority of customers love the fit, feel and look.
