Company Background

What is Zoom Interiors?

‘Zoom interiors’ rebranded to ‘Homee’ and currently ‘Hutch’ is an online interiors design consultancy located in Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles. Through their services, they help people transform their living spaces on a low budget.

They also provide an app that helps people get an idea on how they would wish for a room or interior space to appear. When using the app, the homeowner answers a series of questions. The app then works out algorithms for the design elements, such as with furniture and set up.

If the client is not satisfied with the outcome, they can make a follow-up through direct consultation. Additionally, zoom Interiors offer design services for free and sell you the items they recommend as part of the design.

Who Owns Zoom Interiors?

Zoom interiors was started by three former students of George Washington University: Madeline Fraser, Elizabeth Grover, and Beatrice Fischel. The three started their business in 2012. At the time, they share a class in interior design where they studied Bachelor of Fine Arts (Interior architecture and design, fine arts, and art history). Currently, the three are the co-founders of the business.

Founder’s Story

The founders of Zoom interiors are passionate about interiors design. At the university, they always enjoyed helping other students design their small spaces on a budget. They then realized there was a need for low-cost designers for the younger clients who had limited resources.

Consequently, they began carrying out informal design trials by assisting friends in designing their rooms and advising them on their choice of furniture. From this experience, they learned they could go far with such a business on low capital.

They took advantage of the expensive rates of hiring a professional interior designer. As a result, they provided a free app through which people with low income could get interior design services at zero cost.
