Company Background

What is The Kooler

The Kooler is a drinking container that consists of multiple components. First, there is an outer layer designed for cold water to be drank throughout the day. This outer layer maintains a cool temperature for the inner layer, which is a smaller container designed for protein shakes and other nutritional beverages. Also included in the inner layer is a compartment for protein powder or small snacks.

Who Owns The Kooler

Stan “Rhino” Efferding is a world-renowned professional bodybuilder and trainer. He has over 25+ years of experience coaching athletes, and has held the title of Mr Olympia’s World’s Strongest Pro Body Builder. Some of his students have become some of today’s most prolific bodybuilders and strongmen, such as Halfthor Bjornsson. Today, Stan remains a prominent figure on social media and in the fitness industry where he offers fitness training and online coaching.

Founder’s Story

Stan’s background in bodybuilding has given him insight into efficiency when training. The last thing athletes need to worry about is bringing multiple water bottles and food and beverage containers just for one workout. His inspiration for the Kooler was to create a product that can contain all the hydration and nutrition that is needed for a trip to and from the gym. With its separate compartments, both athletes and casual gym-goers can pack their water, electrolytes, and protein shake in one handy product.

What Happened After Shark Tank Update

Did The Kooler Get a Deal on Shark Tank

In Season 8 Episode 15 of Shark Tank, Stan Efferding walked away from the Shark Tank with a deal from Daymond John of $50,000 for 33% ($150,000 valuation) for The Kooler.

Is The Kooler Still in Business

Despite positive reviews for The Kooler, Stan has decided to discontinue the product in order to focus on his fitness training and online coaching business. Stan is very active on social media and runs the Vertical Podcast, based on the Vertical Diet, a performance-based nutrition plan which he developed over his 30 years of research, training, coaching, competing and dieting.
