Company Background

What is The Good Promise?

The Good Promise, formerly Animeals4Kids Inc, makes 100% natural and organic cooking sauces, smoothies, and protein drinks. By using only the purest vegetables, as well as other healthy ingredients.

The idea was to provide a more nutritious, cost-effective, on-the-go snack for kids and healthy-minded adults as well as cooking supplement.

Who Owns The Good Promise?

Karen Posada is the founder of The Good Promise, which she started in 2012. Karen comes from an IT background and formerly worked as an on-air TV reporter and a Javascript Engineer. Since closing down the company, Karen has continued her career in IT and now works as a Software Engineer Manager.

Founder’s Story

The idea came about as a way for Karen to encourage her children to eat more vegetables. She’d blend and create her sauce designs in her kitchen with her mother for the family meals.

Feeling there was a potential market for her sauces, Karen went into production using a family investment of $50,000. She had some early success, and from 2013, her products could be found in major retail stores like Walmart.

During a road trip around Texas to promote her brand, she and her mother couldn’t help but notice a lack of healthy food options sold at gas stations and other convenience stores. With this in mind, they decided to introduce a new smoothie and protein shake product as well.

However, packaging and mass production was proving challenging, so Karen started looking for an investor to inject capital for a share of her business and some guidance too.

What Happened After Shark Tank Update

Is The Good Promise Still in Business?

The company is now out of business officially as of 2016 and no longer produces any products. There is no website, and any social media pages still in existence are dormant. Karen has since moved on with her IT career.
