Company Background

What is Cookie Dough Cafe?

The Cookie Dough Cafe is the world’s first company that offers fully edible cookie dough. There is no need to bake the dough or refrigerate it; it can be eaten straight from the container! We all know how fun it is to eat the leftover cookie dough out of the bottom of the bowl. But, now fresh and healthy cookie dough, that contains no eggs, is available on store shelves.

Who Owns Cookie Dough Cafe?

Sisters Julia Schmid and Joan Pacetti, are the founders of The Cookie Dough Cafe. Both women are mothers, so while they always attempt to feed the kids healthy foods, cookies are an absolute must. Joan and Julia have shared a love of cooking their entire lives, which eventually led them to create their business in adulthood.

Founder’s Story

Everyone loves cookies, and cookie dough. But it is considered a ‘paws off’ food because of the risk of Salmonella. As a way to compromise, the sisters decided to create a one-of-a-kind edible cookie dough that keeps the yummy taste but leaves out the risk of Salmonella.

From a very small kitchen, Joan and Julia started their business, packing their homemade edible dough into small containers. As their idea caught on and people realized just how delicious their product was, it soon drew the attention of local markets. Because their product contains no preservatives or eggs, it appeals to a much larger market of customers.
