Company Background

What is TactiBite Fish Call?

The Tactibite Fish Call is the frustrated fisherman’s dream. You’ll never go home empty-handed again!

It has an in-built speaker that emits vibrations and sounds that attract the forever hungry and curious fish.

It’s like catnip for fish as they can’t help but be drawn towards this new and noisy neighbor in the hope of an easy meal, only to become yours! Even better, it works in both fresh and saltwater.

Who Owns TactiBite Fish Call?

Keeping it in the family is the co-founder dad and son duo of Jeff and Jack Danos. Louisiana natives and self-confessed hobbyist fishermen — minus the fish component.

Jeff is an entrepreneur, and Jack is an industrious, self-taught 19-year-old, possessing the ability to master whatever he sets out to learn.

Both men remain very active in the company today.

Founder’s Story

The idea came about for the Tactibite Fish Call a few years prior, when Jack and Jeff grew tired of not feeling the much-anticipated tug on the fishing line during their all-day fishing trips.

Constantly striving for perfection, they wondered if in today’s modern world, where everyone has high-powered supercomputers in their pockets if there wasn’t some electronic gadget to aid in catching fish? To their dismay, there wasn’t, so they set about building one.

Jack then did what any typical 19-year-old would do: Learn how to 3D print prototypes, raise $10,000 on Kickstarter in two hours, build an entire website for the product, both the front and back end from scratch, and teach himself the equivalent of an MBA degree syllabus on all things marketing related. He then taught himself trademarks law and secured patents for the final design, with more pending.

With pre-orders coming in, they found a manufacturer and set to work building up a sizeable inventory to ship to clients.

Towards the middle of 2016, they’d already netted $330,000 in sales, and thanks to Jack doing the vast majority of the initial prototype production and packaging design work, the bulk of it was pure profit. This led to them looking for investors, to help the business grow.
