Who Owns Schulzies Bread Pudding?
Schulzie’s Bread Pudding was founded by Sarah Schultz in 2010, beginning with farmer’s markets and assorted outdoor festivals before opening a brick and mortar shop at the end of the year. Sarah graduated from California State University-Sacramento with a BA Degree in Business Administration and Management before opening Schulzie’s
Sarah Schultz loves bread pudding, so much so that she collected bread pudding recipes from friends and neighbors and dedicated herself to concocting the ultimate bread pudding.
Eventually, Sarah decided to open a business that would sell her unique brand of bread pudding. Sarah’s concept was to open a boutique shop similar to a yogurt stand but to sell her bread pudding exclusively.
She began by selling bread pudding at farmer’s markets, fairs, and outdoor gatherings and then borrowed $300,000 from her late father, the namesake of “Schulzie’s,” and opened a bread pudding stand in Venice California in November of 2010. Her bread pudding proved popular and sales were brisk.
In 2010 Sarah opened a second larger shop in San Francisco and launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $11,000 to help finance the expansion.
