What is Proof Eyewear?
Proof Eyewear is a company that makes sunglasses and eyewear frames from wood and other recycled material such as plant-based acetate and recycled skateboard decks.
The glasses come in different colors and styles and upon request, can be installed with prescription lenses. All styles are available with UV-protected lenses. The eyeglasses have adjustable screws to ensure they fit every head.
Who Owns Proof Eyewear?
Proof Eyewear was actualized by the Dame brothers, Taylor, Brooks, and Tanner, who have a strong background in woodwork. Their grandfather owned a wood mill which they worked in while they were young.
Taylor and Brooks studied Business Administration at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and Tanner studied Marketing and Spanish at the Brigham Young University- Idaho. They currently co-run Proof Eyewear in different capacities.
The Dame brothers are passionate about eyesight, even ensuring part of the proceeds from their sales goes to a charitable organization in India that provides eyesight care to needy individuals. Additionally, they are passionate about the environment, making sure to recycle materials that would otherwise pollute and contaminate mother earth. They took advantage of their wood background to tap into the industry and create an opportunity for themselves and other members of society.

Is Proof Eyewear Still in Business?
Proof Eyewear is still in operation to date, and it has diversified its products, including add ons for certain purchases. The company has also redefined its philanthropic approach to include Uganda.
Clients can purchase the sunglasses from various stores across America, Europe, and Africa as well as online from the company’s website.
The venture’s revenues have also increased annually, expanding it from an Idaho-based company to a worldwide recognized brand.
The brothers aim to continue growing the company upwards on their own, without taking up outside investors who would like to steer the company in a different direction.
