What is Prontobev?
ProntoBev is the flagship product by Pronto Concepts, a San-Francisco based company serving instantly chilled drinks at precise temperatures. In only 30 seconds you can have any chilled beverage of choice – from wine to coffee, tea and more.
The company also produces a wine aerator – the ProntoAer that can fit a glass of any size. Both the ProntoBev and ProntoAer are available for pre-order on the company’s website.
It was during his 2013 college days when founder and CEO, Alexander Simone, first came up with idea for ProntoBev. After several years and thirteen prototypes later, ProntoBev ran its first crowdfunding campaign. The campaign was successfully launched on Indiegogo in March 2017 with over $60,000 in funding.
Later that year, the young entrepreneur took his wine chiller to Shark Tank where he accepted a deal with Mark Cuban. Today, it appears Mark is longer apart of the project but through its success on Shark Tank, the company was able to bring other investors and advisors on board.
Prontobev Shark Tank Update
Is Prontobev Still in Business?
The worlds “fastest wine chiller” has gotten off to a painfully slow start. Design changes and functional issues have contributed to what has been a frustrating few years for the company and its backers.
Although backers are understandably upset over the nearly three year delay, the company remains consistent with their efforts in reaching out to customers and keeping them up to date.
The latest updates from December suggest the company had just begun manufacturing with the latest adjustments and thanked backers for their patience.
ProntoBev deliveries were expected to be made to pre-ordering customers in early 2020. But with the world’s factory currently shut down, its unlikely backers will see anything until closer to the year’s end.
There are currently no user reviews for the ProntoBev as it has been stuck in manufacturing since its Shark Tank appearance. However, plenty of no chill IndieGogo backers have taken to the comments to demand refunds in response to the delays.
