Company Background

What is Pan’s Mushroom Jerky?

Its not easy to find a snack as surprisingly delightful as Pans Mushroom Jerky. At its core an idea whose time has arrived, the concept behind Pans Mushroom Jerky is stunningly simple. Healthy sustainable snacking for a hungry world.

Touting a flavorful menu, from the reliably generic Salt and Pepper Mushroom Jerky, to the downright eccentric Zesty Thai, Pans Mushroom Jerky is a fitting replacement to traditional meat-based jerkies in flavor and nutrition which leaves little room for rebuttal, and less still for seconds.

Who Owns Pan’s Mushroom Jerky?

Michael Pan, the innovative force behind Pans Mushroom Jerky, found inspiration in the likeliest of places: his family.

Breaking course from his educational and professional background as an electrical engineer and working from his family home in Washington, Michael transformed a unique and long standing family recipe to the flagship product for a new iteration of a classic snack.

Michael now oversees a successful and still burgeoning business, with Pans Mushroom Jerky available in over 700 stores nationally.

Founder’s Story

For Michael Pan, the road to riches ran truly through the deeper roots of the forest. Visiting an estranged branch of his family in Malaysia, Pan became familiar with many practices of Buddhist culture, most notably the inherent vegetarianism.

Michael’s family had long ago learnt that the mushrooms which grew locally made a suitable replacement for meat, in taste and nutritional value.

Realizing the value his families recipe had to offer to today’s modern, health-conscious snacker, Michael set about bringing his family secret to store shelves, and we can all be glad he did.
