What is MealEnders?
Mealenders is a product from WillPower Labs, an organization based out of San Francisco. They make a line of appetite suppression products that they call signaling lozenges.
These bite-sized treats are designed to curb the desire to continue consuming food after eating or to stop hunger cravings between meals.
The company claims that using this product will help its customers towards their goal of maintaining a healthy weight.
Who Owns MealEnders?
The company behind Mealenders was founded by their CEO Mark Bernstein. Mark spent years working in the legal field, as an attorney for Atlanta-based King & Spalding as well as for Turner Broadcasting.
This led him to the position of Senior Vice President of CNN and the General Manager of CNN Interactive, where he worked to develop CNN’s new media business.
He continued working in digital media, eventually forming a private investment and consulting firm that worked with start-ups in media and technology.
Following a routine doctor’s visit in 2015, Bernstein was instructed to lose weight, which led him on a journey towards developing this product. Like most people he found his waistline growing as he got older.
He decided that he didn’t necessarily want to give up anything but instead wanted to understand why he felt the desire to keep eating. Learning about the mechanics of dietary science led to the development of a product that serves to satiate the desire for sweets, then cleanses the palette to provide a distraction away from wanting to eat.
