What is Liddup?
If you have been out camping with your friends or loved ones, then you know how frustrating it is when it’s your turn to go and grab drinks. This is particularly true if there are a variety of drinks and it’s dark. Thankfully, through LiddUp, you won’t worry about this as they offer coolers that are LED lit.
Who Owns Liddup?
Jayson Sandberg and Taylor Gwizadon are the founders of LiddUp. The two are still directors at LiddUp Coolers, with Taylor being the marketing and Jayson being the CEO.
Jayson was the brains behind LiddUp. While on a camping trip with the family, he had eaten too much and needed a drink. As it was stark dark, he struggled to find a drink. He thought of adding light to the cooler. Acting on this ‘aha moment’ together with his friend Taylor, they came up with LiddUp.
LiddUp Cooler isn’t fundamentally a new product, but Jayson greatly improved an already existing product. After creating the improvement, bearing in mind its uniqueness, they took out patents to protect this invention. They ensured that affixing the light doesn’t reduce the cooler space, and it also doesn’t heat the drinks.
What Happened to Liddup After Shark Tank Update
Is Liddup Still in Business?
LiddUp Coolers are still in business. As the product was tailor-made for people who like camping and cookout, it will keep existing. After their Shark Tank experience, courtesy of O’Leary, LiddUp Coolers got a licensing deal with Igloo that has seen their brand grow. LiddUp Coolers are now sold through the Igloo website as well as the LiddUp website.
