What is Just the Cheese?
Just the Cheese is a simple and delicious snack handmade from 100% real Wisconsin cheese. Its signature recipe is designed to taste like the crispy edges of a grilled cheese sandwich and every Just the Cheese snack is shredded, crumbled and baked by hand at a family-owned Wisconsin cheese factory.
Who Owns Just the Cheese?
David Scharfman comes from a family of Wisconsin cheese makers, and his father was the original creator of the Just the Cheese snack. David grew up and attended The University of Virginia for political science and Chinese. He worked in the cheese and gaming industry and became a financial consultant.
David’s father’s original Just the Cheese snack faded over time as diet trends changed. It wasn’t until 2017 that David was inspired to resurrect the Just the Cheese snack after sampling an ordinary cheese snack from the grocery store.
He decided to call up his father, and eventually convinced him bring back their signature family recipe. David quit his consulting job and returned to his family’s cheese factory in Wisconsin.
It took many taste tests and late nights until the new Just the Cheese recipe was ready, but the snack soon became an immediate success in stores around the country.
What Happened After Shark Tank Update
When David appeared on Shark tank, Just the Cheese had a $10 million dollar Valuation and he declined three separate offers. Today Just the Cheese is still available Amazon, Target and every major grocery chain in the nation. As of July 2021, they have received $4 million in annual revenue.
