Company Background

What is Holiball?

Holiball is a company known for their oversized, inflatable holiday ornament of the same name. Designed to look like a Christmas tree bulb without its characteristic fragility, the product is harsh weather resistant, inflates to be a sturdy yet stylish statement piece, and deflates to the size of a softball for easy storage.

The Holiball is currently available in twenty-two shades, including Vintage Red, Pearl White, and Marigold, and two different sizes to best suit consumer preferences.

Who Owns Holiball?

The company was founded by three cousins, Amberly Hall, Kristy Moore, and Jennifer Couch, all born and raised in Houston, Texas. Prior to venturing into the world of business, Amberly worked as an educator and real estate agent; Kristy was a full-time stay at home mom; and Jennifer was a serial entrepreneur who started out in commercial real estate.

Today, outside of their duties at Holiball, Amberly is also now a full-time stay at home mom, same as Kristy, and both are thankful for the time and resources which allow them to devote themselves so fully to their families.

Jennifer, with her business mindset and background in entrepreneurship, continues to use those skills to further develop and expand the company.

Founder’s Story

The idea for Holiball came about during a road trip. The three cousins loved the idea of creating a Texas-sized ornament for all to enjoy. Amberly and Kristy hadn’t previously been involved in entrepreneurship; however, with Jennifer’s experience and guidance, they were able to hit the ground running.

Kristy, who particularly has a knack for details and creativity, was able to use her skills to speed up the development phase which further led to the company coming to fruition rather quickly.

What Happened to Holiball After Shark Tank Update

Did Holiball Get a Deal on Shark Tank?

On Shark Tank Season 12 Episode 7, Kristy Moore, Jennifer Couch and Amberly Hall entered the Tank seeking $150,000 for 10% of their giant inflatable ornament balls and accepted an offer of $150,000 for 25%, from Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran.

Is Holiball Still in Business?

Today, Holiball remains in business and is doing very well. The product is currently available in 36 states and nearly 200 stores across the U.S. as well as 8 countries abroad. Domestically, the product sells particularly well within Mom-and-Pop shops and boutiques; however, the three cousins look forward to potentially expanding to larger chain stores in the future.

There additionally continues to be international demand for the product, and therefore further expansion into new markets is likely to continue!
