What is Fairytale Wishes?

Fairytale Wishes is a line of aromatherapy sprays manufactured to help kids overcome frequent childhood fears and anxiety. Available in different scents, each spray is designed to help children cope with a specific type of anxiety or fear. For instance, the bubble gum Monster Repellent is supposed to protect kids from monsters that could be hiding under the bed.

Who Founded Fairytale Wishes?

Debbie Glickman started Fairytale Wishes four years prior to appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank. However, she was and still is a marketing and advertising agent in the real estate industry in Highland Park, Illinois. She has over 20 years of experience helping North Shore residents acquire and sell homes as a Certified Negotiation Expert. Debbie has also spent many years working with top advertising agencies in Chicago.

Founder’s Story

After years of being asked to check her kids’ rooms for suspected monsters under the bed, Debbie felt motivated to help children sleep peacefully even with their wild imagination. She decided to create her line of minor-friendly aromatherapy sprays that could guarantee kids that there were no monsters under the bed, either through a placebo effect or pillow spray.

For four years before eventually trying out her luck on Shark Tank, she sold her products via social media networks. She even obtained a seasonal deal with renowned retailer Bed, Bath & Beyond. In the year preceding her appearance on the show, she managed to sell products worth an average of $5,500, which was arguably the highest amount of money she’d earned since starting the business.
