What is Eve Drop?
Eve Drop is a product that makes permanent Christmas lights hangers. Instead of putting in a lot of effort to put up Christmas lights only to work hard to take them down every year, Eve Drop allows you to raise and store your holiday lights under the eaves of your house, then simply drop them when needed without having to ever lift your feet.
Who Owns Eve Drop?
Nathan Shaffer, President and inventor of Eve Drop, obtained his Associate’s degree in Physical Sciences from Brigham Young University in 2003 and his Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from Utah Valley University in 2006 before becoming a Project Engineer for KHS & S Contractors for 3 years. Between 2013 and 2016, he became an Inventor and President of Shaffarne LLC/EveDrop where the Christmas product came to light. Currently, Nathan works as a real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty, Inc.
Before Nathan approached Shark Tank, he was a family man that enjoyed the festive season, however, that came with the unwanted labor of climbing a ladder to put up Christmas lights only to climb up again a few weeks later to take them down. He spent over a year developing the notion of storing Christmas lights and bringing them out in the same place that they are to be seen in the season.
His next entrepreneurial move was to try and get crowdfunding for his idea through the Kickstarter website. After failing to reach his funding goal in 2013, he went back to Kickstarter the following year with lower goals and a re-designed campaign that brought him success. There was a six month delay due to his complex production process, but by July 2014 Eve Drop was taken to its Kickstarter backers. However, Nathan wanted to attract more investors which directed him to Shark Tank.
What Happened After Shark Tank Update
Is Eve Drop Still in Business?
Since 2018, Eve Drop has been out of business due to sales going down during the off-season and their social media pages are inactive. Nathan has explored other business opportunities in real estate and has even worked up to being the team lead at Keller Williams Realty, Inc.
