Company Background

What is Drive Suits?

At inception, Drive Suits offered to sell suits that could transform into vehicles. Once the suit was worn, the wearer could transform the suit into a car by crouching. However, the vision changed, and the company was converted into an events company named Robots and Cars Entertainment. The new entity doesn’t sell the Drive Suits. Instead, you can hire a skilled Robocar specialist for your event.

Who Owns Drive Suits?

Drew Beaumier is the inventor of Drive Suits. Before creating this invention, he was a film and art student. Today, Drew continues to run his Robots and Cars Entertainment Company.

Founder’s Story

Drew got the inspiration to start Drive Suits based on his love for robots and vehicles. As a child, he dreamed of transforming into a robot, but never guessed it would turn into a career for him.

The turning point for Drive Suit was 2009 when he competed in a costume contest. He entered the competition looking for a quick buck as he was behind on rent. He had been waiting tables, waiting for an opportunity in the film industry.

Luckily, he was able to give a good showing in the competition. This performance gave him the impetus to improve his suit. After the competition, he started perfecting the car. Additionally, he got a team of robot-car enthusiasts who helped with improving the design.

However, he had several challenges that slowed the growth of his company. In sum, he didn’t have money to expand the company, mass-produce the suits, market the product, or even register a patent to protect his invention.

What Happened After Shark Tank Update

Is Drivesuits Still in Business?

Drive Suits is still in business, though it’s now known as Robots and Cars Entertainment (R.A.C.E.). Drew transformed his business idea from selling the suits to entertaining people wearing the suits.

Although not available for consumer rental or use, the company’s RoboCars and operators are available for booking to perform at events and venues worldwide.
