DARTdrones is a high-quality drone training company specifically catering to government agencies, public safety departments and individuals alike.

The company’s attention is on a comprehensive and customizable training program that includes flight training, aerial videography, instruction on acquiring a commercial remote pilot license, and more with an in-person hands-on approach.

Who Owns Dartdrones?

Abby Speicher is the CEO and Co-Founder of DARTdrones having started as a human resources intern for Lowe’s Regional Business Center in 2011 to a Founder and CEO of Daakye in 2013, a social enterprise selling handmade purses by Ghanaian women. Lately, the company offers a high-quality education opportunity in drone flying to more than 9000 students.

Founder’s Story

Before DARTdrones came about, Abby got the entrepreneurial gene from her family, specifically from her father who is an entrepreneurship professor. At 17 years old, she worked through college on the social enterprise making purses in Ghana to fund education for children in Ghana which led to her learning how to pitch a product and find love in running a company.

After attending the MBA in Entrepreneurship program at Babson College and in search of a new business to start, she met her co-founder, Christ Costello, who was in charge of missions using Raven drones at the Army National Guard. They were then propelled to enter a business competition together.

Having never flown a drone until the pitch competition, Abby ordered a Phantom and flew it in front of the judges which led to a terrible crash. That crash lit a light bulb to open a drone training school. thus Dartdrones was born.
