A chopping board is one of the essential facilities often required in the kitchen. The Cup Board Pro is a bamboo chopping board with a side attachment, a cup, for catching all leftovers. Cup Board Pro originated from a great family story. Keith Young, a firefighter and a two-time chopper champion, invented Cup Board Pro, a simple, yet genius innovation. Keith usually took plastic cutting boards and designed them for his prototype. His children came in handy by helping in graphic designs and marketing his website.
Keith’s wife was diagnosed and later succumbed to breast cancer. The devastating loss delayed the board production stage. However, he was bold enough to bounce back and even received his first board shipment in 2015. Keith too was soon diagnosed with cancer, which came as a result of the 9/11 tragedy.
When he passed on, his children, Kaley, Christian, and Keira, took over their father’s legacy. They successfully pitched the innovative cutting Board Pro on Shark Tank, shortly after the season 10 premiere. This way, Keith’s efforts were honored, and the three siblings earned themselves a rare joint deal with the sharks.

In Season 10 Episode 3 of Shark Tank, the Young Siblings left the Shark Tank with a deal from all 5 sharks – $100,000 for 20% of their company, Cup Board Pro, a deal which gave their company a valuation of $500,000 dollars.
Is Cup Board Pro Still in Business?
After their big break on the Shark Tank, the sales for Cup Board Pro skyrocketed instantly. As a result, it was impossible to take more orders for the groundbreaking product as there was no more inventory left. The Young’s are still running the Firehouse Chef Company, although their product is currently out of stock. Referring to their company website, they are working with new manufacturers and new partnerships including William Sonoma where the Cup Board Pro can be found.
Cup Board Pro Sales
After an incredible pitch on Shark Tank, the trio received immense support from all over the world. Just eighteen hours after the episode aired, they were able to sell out their inventory of 26,000 boards. In other words, the boards were worth more than $1 million in sales, and the product still sold out on Amazon. Instead of pocketing the profits from their stake, the sharks channeled them to the firefighters with 9/11 related illnesses. For more support to the firefighters, the siblings set up a website to collect donations. The combined efforts raised $40,000, which they donated to the FDNY (New York City Fire Department) fund in 2019.
Cup Board Pro Review
The willingness to help out the passionate children achieve their father’s dream prompted many buyers into ordering the board. However, after using it, they were utterly impressed by the results. While there are many similar versions to the Cup Board Pro, this one is made of bamboo, making it unique. It has a removable catcher, which can be cleaned separately, hence facilitating kitchen hygiene. For some buyers, though, the Cup Board Pro is a great idea but has room for improvement.
