Circadian Optics is a home lighting company that promises to make your days brighter with their stylish light therapy lamps.
The lamps use LED technology to replicate daylight to help improve your mood, concentration, energy and maintain a healthy sleep wake cycle.
The technology is based on the concept of light therapy which uses intense artificial lighting to treat conditions experienced from a lack of sunlight.
Circadian Optics Before Shark Tank
Life wasn’t always so bright for Circadian Optics founder, Amber Leong. Leong grew up in Malaysia where she spent her early years in poverty. Despite the difficulties and hardships faced, she spent many days under the warm Malaysian sun.
With the financial sacrifice of her parents and relatives, Leong moved to the United States to pursue a degree in Finance before moving to Minnesota for work. The lack of sunlight during her day to day office work started to affect her sleep, health and focus. This eventually led her to experiment with light therapy. After being teased by coworkers on the hideous light therapy lamps she used at work, Leong set out to create a more stylish solution.
In 2016, Leong founded Circadian Optics alongside her husband. Within the next three years the company would grow into a multi-million dollar company.
Circadian Optics After Shark Tank
Before appearing in the tank, Leong had over $7.4 million in lifetime sales with $5.6 million projected for 2019 alone. The company has since received much press through various news sources, blogs and video reviews.
