What is Biem Butter?
Biem Butter sprayer was a product created for butter lovers. Using the sprayer, a user could spread butter sparingly.
One would insert a butter bar inside the Beam Butter sprayer, and it would heat it until it melted. The user would then press the sprayer to spread the butter.
Who Owns Biem Butter?
Doug Foreman is the founder of Biem Butter sprayer. He truly is a serial entrepreneur and innovator, having founded brands like Guiltless Gourmet (which he reportedly sold for approximately $500 million) and Beanitos before inventing Biem Butter.
Despite showing great prospects, it failed to take off, the official website is still functional, but the products are listed as sold out. Doug is currently the CEO of Austin Automation.
Doug, having spent his entire life in the food industry, noted that butter was being misused. He also noticed that even though butter was an excellent cooking oil, it was always solid. He was motivated to create a Biem Butter sprayer to stop the wastage.
After inventing the sprayer, he noticed that it could be used on various products, the taste was improved, and importantly it used little butter. He then sought patents on the nozzle spray.
Doug resorted to crowdsourcing to raise funds for the mass production of Biem Butter sprayer.
The product had bells and whistles, which made investors quickly put their money on the line.
Biem Butter sprayer could automatically start melting butter when lifted, and it could also shut off once it melted the butter. Additionally, the nozzle could effectively sprinkle butter without getting clogged, and the machine was also easy to wash.
Due to the multiple utilities mentioned above, Doug raised $235,000, roughly six times above the amount he had targeted to raise before featuring on Shark Tank.
