Company Background

What is BedRyder?

Ever wanted to sit in the back of a pick up truck, but logic prevailed because it just was not safe? Well that is exactly why the Bed Ryder was created in 2008. It is a seating system for the bed of a pickup truck. Bed Ryder seats are legal in all 50 states as they meet federal motor vehicle safety regulations. Each unit is removable, they fit into all size trucks, with or without canopies and come with race car style harnesses.

Who Owns BedRyder?

In 2008 Carey Hyde, and George Conway who had been friends for over 40 years embarked on a new journey of being business partners. Hyde is the majority shareholder and runs operations, whilst Conway manages sales and promotions.

Founder’s Story

Owning trucks and looking for safe ways to transport their children and pets. Hyde and Conway were inspired to create an innovative and safe way to do so.

It took eight week to source the materials to create their first prototype and test it against all possible scenarios to ensure its reliability.

They also acquired an automotive forensic specialist to ensure their product met all required safety standards.

When an opportunity to audition for Shark Tank came, the friends jumped at the opportunity to sell their idea. With the hope of getting a $200,000 investment for 15% equity.

What Happened to BedRyder After Shark Tank Update

Is BedRyder Still in Business?

According to Hydes Linkedin page, Bed Ryder is still in business and has secured product placement through large aftermarket retailers such as J.C. Whitney .
