Company Background

What is Aura Bora?

Aura Bora is a company which produces sparkling waters flavored with plant-based extracts. Contrary to many sparkling waters on the market, Aura Bora’s products contain no calories, sugar, or sodium, and do not taste artificial or uninspired as the only flavoring agents utilized are real herbal, floral, and fruit extracts.

The company currently offers five different varieties: Peppermint Watermelon, Basil Berry, Cactus Rose, Lemongrass Coconut, and Lavender Cucumber.

Who Owns Aura Bora?

Aura Bora was co-founded by husband and wife Paul and Madeleine Voge. Paul received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and began his foray into business soon after graduating.

He started two companies within one year of each other, the first being Aura Bora. Madeleine received her B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Colorado Boulder and went on to work as a creative copywriter for two different companies before co-founding Aura Bora.

Founder’s Story

The company’s conception began when Paul and Madeleine noticed a gap in the sparkling water market. They found many sparkling waters tasted artificial, lacked unique flavor profiles, and didn’t offer the consumer much of an experience.

After realizing this, they set to work experimenting with different flavor combinations. After a few months, and with the aid of a carbonation machine, they were able to create a few flavors which met their standards. This breakthrough is what ultimately led to the Aura Bora of today.
