Aldo Orta Jewelry is a company that specializes in making jewelry that reflect the Mexican heritage as well as other mythological and cultural symbols around the world.
The jewelry pieces are made of precious and semiprecious stones and precious and semi-precious metals like gold, silver and platinum.
Who is the Owner?
The founder of the company is called Aldo Orta who is originally from Mexico. He studied a Fine Arts degree in Mexico and later moved to Los Angeles where he studied another degree from UCLA.
Early in his career, he used to stage designs for concerts and make sets for video shoots in LA. He was also a director is Marriot International (MAR) for a period of five years.
Along the way, he became fascinated by mythology and spirituality and started designing jewelry that have enlightenment and spiritual meanings.
Nowadays, besides jewelry, he has expanded his artwork to include paintings and sculptures.
Aldo launched his first collections in 1998 which were dubbed the Dante Collection, The Sword Collection and Alexander the Great Collection.
He used to sell his ornaments through different outlets in the US and Mexico.
Initially, the company’s clientele consisted of politicians and celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Calvin Klein, and Kim Kardashian.
His greatest challenge is realizing that whenever he signs contracts, he could be losing his rights to the originality of his designs and commercializing the products will mean that it loses the uniqueness that his customers value.
In 2011, Aldo decided to seek more capital so he could sell his products to the mass market at an affordable rate.
