What is Adventure Hunt?

Adventure Hunt follows a similar model to the hit tv show Amazing Race, offering clients fun and adventure in the form of scavenger hunts.

They can do everything from; team building events, corporate retreats, design your scavenger hunt and pre-made scavenger hunts through their offices in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Using their smartphone app and geo-caching, participants in teams of two to four find locations, participate in challenges, uncover clues to treasures and win prizes.

Who is the Founder of Adventure Hunt?

Adventure Hunt is the brainchild of co-founders and brothers Jared and Sean Bingham from Utah.

The brothers used to organize events and parties in their community as well as sell their own brand of sunglasses.

Both brothers remain active in the business, which continues to do well, having adapted to the pandemic.

They have gone on to host thousands of treasure hunts from small family birthday parties to corporate bonding events for major global brands and even parts of the US military.

Founder’s Story

The idea for the business came from merely expanding on what they were currently doing — organizing parties and events for people.

They would organize a theme, hire local musicians and entertainers and charge a gate or event fee, sometimes having up to 20 000 people attend.

Another motivation was their love for travel, adventure and pushing themselves both mentally and physically. They’d earlier in 2013 co-founded a sunglasses brand, Kameleonz (KZ) and would market it in their travel adventures as a way to push its appeal to those who enjoy the outdoors life.

And so, it made sense to combine their love of organizing fun social events with travel and exploring to start Adventure Hunt.

Within 18 months of operation, they achieved close to $800,000 in sales. So they did their homework to come prepared and starting looking for investors to pitch their business, hoping to scale it into a household name.
